Makoto (Sincerity)
Yuki (Courage)
Reigi (Kindness)
   Jisei (Self control)

   Sonkei (Respect)
Meiyo (Honor)
Yujo (Friendship)
The friendship is perhaps the purest of human emotions. Virgin passion, it is without doubt one of the most altruistic of love. Based on understanding, respect and mutual trust, it allows human exchanges highest.
Confucius said: "Sincerity is the end and beginning of all things, without sincerity, nothing exists." Among the samurai was not the concept of promise, when samourai said something he could not go against his words, or he was in disgrace.
True to their word. To keep the samurai's honor is more important than his own life. Show of friendship, be sincere, be brave, be modest, be respectful, know how to control and being polite are all the best qualities to keep his honor intact. Being a samurai deshonorrer means shame and humilliation.
The courage to do what is right at any time, face his fears and overcome obstacles and challenges. Even if the training is difficult, the brave continue without complaining and without abandon.
Without modesty, no compliance is possible, without respect, no confidence can not arise. Without trust, no teaching can not be given or received.
Respect is to respect oneself, others, strong as the weak. Is to follow the teachings carefully. Without respect there is no honor.
For a samurai, let his emotions on his face or in his actions is a weakness that could cost him his life in combat. The calm behavior, equal mind and heart, must not be disturbed, and neither dominated by any passion or emotion. In the Samurai, laughter sets the balance disturbed, it is the counterweight to the pain and anger.
Kindness is the greatest mark of respect. Kindness is the foundation of any relationship between two people. In judo, it all begins and ends with salvation. Salvation is a mark of courtesy and politeness. Kindness is also good, not venter, not behave roughly, not easily provoked.
